Hi, I’m Batman. The OG. The Legend. The Senior Guy Still Waiting for His Forever.

I’m 10 years old, and I’ve earned my title as one of the beloved faces of Keeping The Faith Animal Shelter and Rescue Center. I may be a senior, but don’t let these gray hairs fool you… I’ve still got some spunk left!

I love my toys, and I’m pretty good at hiding them away like little treasures. A guy has to keep his important belongings safe, right?

I’ll be honest with you: I like my space, and I have my own opinions about things.
I’m looking for an adult home where I can be your one and only pet. A few meet-and-greets might be necessary, but if we choose each other, I promise I’ll be worth the extra time.I’ve spent far too much of my life waiting. I’m 10 years old, and what I want most is a soft place to rest, toys to hide, and someone who sees the loveable old soul behind this handsome face.
Please don’t overlook me because I’m a senior. My golden years should be spent in a home, not a kennel. I still have love to give, and I’m hoping someone will decide that my best days don’t have to be behind me.

Could you be the person who finally gives this old Batman his happily ever after?

Hi there! I’m Roseann… but my friends call me Rosie!

Professional cuddler. Part-time furniture thief. Full-time queen of the shelter.
I’m a 4-year-old Boxer mix with a BIG personality, an even BIGGER heart, and absolutely ZERO understanding of personal space.

Let’s get one thing straight right off the bat: I am a LAP DOG. I don’t care what the scale says. Sure, I might be about 5 pounds over the official lap dog weight limit, but that sounds like a human problem, not a Rosie problem.

If you sit down, congratulations! You have officially reserved a seat for TWO. Me and you. And if you didn’t want company, well… you should’ve stayed standing.

Couches? LOVE THEM.
Chairs? ALSO LOVE THEM.
Laps? MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE.
And if all the acceptable seating options are taken? Well, let’s just say I’ve been known to improvise. A table will do in a pinch. A girl has to have standards, after all!

Now, about this whole confinement business… NO, THANK YOU. Gates, restrictions, being told I can’t go somewhere? I am NOT a happy camper. I prefer to be where the people are, doing what the people are doing, preferably while sitting directly on top of them. I’m not trying to be difficult. I’m just trying to supervise.

I’ve even earned myself the title of “Shelter Mom” because I’ve helped keep an eye on puppies in the past. I can be nurturing, caring, and pretty darn good at showing the little ones the ropes. BUT… even a momma needs a break! Those little whippersnappers can get on my nerves, too.
I love them, but I also believe in teaching them the importance of personal space. Which is hilarious, considering I have absolutely no concept of it myself.
As for other animals, I’ll be honest with you. Cats? Hard pass.

Other dogs? Well, I’m selective about my circle. I don’t need to be everybody’s best friend, and I’d appreciate a proper introduction before we start making friendship bracelets. I know what I like, and I’m not afraid to say it!What I’m really looking for is someone who appreciates a girl with a little sass, a whole lot of love, and a talent for turning any piece of furniture into her personal throne. Someone who will let me be part of the family, include me in the fun, and understand that my love language is basically physical contact 24 hours a day.

I have so much love to give, and I’m ready to give it to MY people. I want the couch, the cuddles, the companionship, and the forever home where I can finally stop being a shelter girl and start being somebody’s GIRL.

So, what do you say? Think you have room in your life — and on your lap — for a girl like me?
Apply to adopt me, and let’s find out! Just a little warning: once I sit on you, you may never get up again. Consider yourself lovingly trapped.

Love and slobbery kisses,
Rosie

Hi, I’m Darwin! Your future best friend!

I’m about 2 years old, housebroken, and a big fan of spending time with my people! I have a medium energy level, so I’m the perfect mix of playful and laid-back.

I’m looking for someone to love, a home to call my own, and a family who will give me the chance I’ve been waiting for. Doggie siblings will need a meet-and-greet, and I’m not sure about cats yet.
All I need is someone to choose me. Could that someone be you?

Hi, I’m Fawn! Your future professional wiggle butt!

I’m about 1–1.5 years old, full of energy, and always ready to make new friends! I LOVE people, attention, and playtime. Oh, and guess what? I’m housebroken, too!

I’m looking for an active family who will keep me busy, shower me with love, and appreciate all the wiggles I bring to the table! Doggie siblings will need a meet-and-greet, and I’m not sure how I feel about cats just yet.
I’ve got the wiggles, the personality, and the love. All I’m missing is YOU! Could you be my forever?

Hi, everyone! I’m Amara… but my friends call me Mara Bean!

I’m a 4-year-old girl, and if you ask the people here at the shelter, I’m a beautiful little mix of perfection. I mean, I don’t want to brag, but I’ve heard them call me a shelter favorite! So how in the world did I become what they call a “long timer”?
Let me tell you a little about myself!
I LOVE TO PLAY BALL!
I love to chase them, catch them, kick them, and even push them around with my nose because, obviously, I’m very talented. I can provide HOURS of entertainment. You might even wonder why you ever needed a television.

A little more about the real me…I’m a really sweet girl who enjoys the simple things in life. I love watching my people walk by and taking in everything happening around me. But you know what makes my day? When someone actually stops. When they sit with me, pet me, give me hugs, and remind me that I matter.
I can live with cats, and I may be able to share my home with another dog after a proper meet-and-greet.
As for kids, I’d do best with the chill kind! I don’t want to live with little humans who tease me or make me uncomfortable. Respectful kids who know how to treat a girl right? Sure! We could have a wonderful time together!
Now, let’s talk about my biggest wish…
I’m told I’m a shelter favorite. I’m told I’m a good girl. I’m told there’s absolutely no reason I should still be waiting for a family.
And you know what? I’m starting to wonder the same thing.

I’m not the girl causing a commotion or demanding that everyone look at me. Sometimes I just quietly watch the world go by, hoping someone will notice me. Hoping someone will stop. Hoping someone will see a whole lot more than just another dog waiting behind kennel walls.
Could you be the person who finally makes my waiting end? Could you be the one who says, “Mara Bean, you’re coming home with me!”?

Hi, we’re Benny & Zoey! Your perfectly packaged pair of love!

We’re two sweet little Shih Tzus, about a year old, and we’re looking for a forever home TOGETHER! After all, life is better when you have your best friend by your side.

Zoey here is the cuddly, follow-you-everywhere kind of girl who loves toys and spending time with Benny. And Benny? I might take a minute to warm up, but once I do, I’m a sweetheart, too! We love snuggles, quiet time, and being close to our people. Oh, and we’re 100% pee-pad trained!

We’re looking for a family who will open their hearts and home to BOTH of us. We’ll be foster-to-adopt while Benny finishes his antibiotics and we complete our vaccines.
Two little dogs, twice the love, and one forever home. Could you be ours?

Hi, I’m Patches! Your future cuddle buddy and kiss-giving queen!

I’m a 6-year-old Sheepadoodle with a whole lot of love to give!
I’m a happy girl who loves everyone and is ready to find my very own forever family. My vision is limited, so I like to keep my favorite people close and follow them wherever they go.
I also have a very special stuffed puppy that I carry everywhere like my own little baby! Add in my constantly wagging tail and plenty of sloppy kisses, and that’s ME!
I may do just fine with other animals, too!
All I need is someone to love me, spoil me, and let me be their little shadow. Could you be my forever?

Hey there! I’m Groot! The Big Guy with the Soft Heart.
I’m a 5-year-old Cane Corso mix at and I’d like to make one thing clear right off the bat: I’m officially retired from my puppy shenanigans. These days, I’m all about the quieter things in life!
I’m a big, stoic kind of guy, but underneath this impressive exterior is a heart that just needs the right person to love. I’m perfectly happy being a chill dude most of the time. Sure, I might get a little burst of energy now and then, but give me about five minutes and I’ll be ready to clock out and return to my regularly scheduled relaxing.
I’ve been around other dogs and farm animals, and I’m said to be friendly with them. The nice people here will require a doggie meet-and-greet to make sure we’re a good match. Cats? Well, I haven’t met any yet, so that part of my story is still unwritten!
Now, I do have a few things on my wish list. I’m looking for a calm home because chaos and overstimulation just aren’t my thing. I appreciate a peaceful environment where I can relax and enjoy life without too much commotion.
Oh, and before you start planning my backyard paradise, let me share a little fun fact about myself: a 4-foot fence is more of a suggestion than a boundary. I can clear one without much trouble, so my future family will need to plan accordingly!
I’m not looking for a life full of wild adventures and nonstop excitement. I’d much rather find someone who appreciates a big, handsome guy who enjoys the simple things. Give me a loving home, room to stretch my legs, a peaceful place to relax, and a person who understands that even big, tough-looking dogs need someone to call their own.
